Community Activities

March 2016 to October 2016 - supported and contributed in excess of$5,000.00 in "Back to School"support projects to our most vulnerable children. Again, we give God all of the credit for a successful year of service.

  • March 19, 2016:  Donated 15 book bags with school supplies/other items to Renaissance Youth Center's  Choir. Included a MODELL's gift certificates of $25.00 in each book bag.
  • August, 2016:  Donated 150 book bags to The Children's Circle Day Care Center, 1332 Fulton Avenue, Bronx, NY 10456, Gloria Alston, CEO.
  • August, 2016:  Donated 100 book bags to Union Grove Baptist Church's "BTS" Initiative for Shelter Families in the area of 1488 Hoe Avenue, Bronx, NY 10460, Rev. Frederick Crawford, Senior Pastor. At this event, nearly 400 children were given supplies.
  • August, 2016:  Donated 50 book bags to Friendship Baptist Church's "Back to School Night Out", 400 Campbell Avenue, Fayetteville, NC 28301, Rev. Downing, Senior Pastor.
  • August, 2016:  Donated 100 book bags to Catholic Charities Community Services' Summer Youth Work Program at Alianza Division- Mosaic Beacon, P.S. 11, 1257 Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452, Marie Stroud, Program Director.

  • August 27,2016:  Donated time to 16lst Street Merchants Association's Back to School and Health Fair, where 2,500 book bags were distributed to our vulnerable children.
  • September 10, 2016:  Donated 250 book bags with school supplies to neighborhood children during G&B Foundation Inc.'s "Back to School Give-A-Way" held at 1070 Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY. Assisted by G&B Foundation officers (Beverly Wheeler, Chrelle Silvera, Daniel Silvera), DYCD Staff member (Anita Antonetty), 44th Precinct Explorers, ownere & employees from 1070 Ogden Avenue Avenue Deli, and many volunteers from the neighborhood.
  • September, 2016:  Donated school supplies to Mount Herman Baptist Church, 1170 Nelson Avenue, Bornx, NY 10452, REv. Josheph J. Jones, Senior Pastor.

  • October 1, 2016:  Donated 50 book bags with supplies to West End Residences, HDFC, 483 West End Avenue, New York, NY 10024, Althea Finley, Preventive Specialist.
  • November, 2016:  Distributed turkeys during Thanksgiving Give-A-Way. Turkeys provided by Children's Circle Day Care Center, Inc., Gloria Alston, CEO. Turkeys distributed to residents at 1070 Ogden Avenue; Catholic Charities PS 11 /Alianza Mosaic Beacon After School Program, 1257 Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY (Marie Stroud, Program Director); Woodycrest Center for Human Development, 153 West 165th Street, Bronx, NY (Warrick Harmon, Program Director); customers at Ogden Avenue Deli, 1070 Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY; and the Deli Corner Store of Highbridge Gardens, 1145-1155 University Avenue, Bronx, NY (C. Kristina Fulton, Store Contact).
  • December 25, 2016, Christmas:  Christmas Toys Give-A-Way. Donated toys to 161st Street Merchant's Association.

  • June 22,2015:  Donated 150 book bags to Friendly Baptist Church, 962 Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452,Rev. Albert Sutton, Sr, Pastor.
  • July 6 & 8 2015:  Donated 50 book bags to Friendship Baptist Church's "Back to School Night Out", 400 Campbell Avenue, Fayetteville, NC 28301, Rev. Downing, Senior Pastor.
  • July 31,2015:  Donated 200 book bags to Catholic Charities Community Services' Summer Youth Work Program at Alianza Division- Mosaic Beacon, P.S. 11, 1257 Ogden Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452.
  •  August 10, 2015:  Donated 50 book bags to NAACP- NYCHA Branch's "Back To School" Project, Lynn Spivey, President.
  • August 21,2015:   Donated time to 16lst Street Merchants Association's Back to School and Health Fair, where 2,500 book bags donated by the New York Yankees were distributed to our vulnerable children. Mrs. Chrelle Silvera (G&B Board Member), and her son, Daniel Pavel Silvera (a G&B Scholarship recipient), were volunteers, along with CEO of G&B Foundations, Inc.
  • September, 2015:  Donated 50 book bags to NAACP Parkchester Branch's "Back to School/Health  Initiative" held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1891 McGraw Avenue, Bronx, NY 10467.
  • October  l, 2015:  Donated 50 book bags with supplies to shelter West End Residences, HDFC, 483 West End Avenue, New York, NY 10024.
  • October 9, 2015:  Donated 100 pens, composition books, folders and other supplies to NAACP New York State Conference Youth & College Chapter Division for their 79th NYS Conference State Convention.


May 2014 to October 2014 - G&B Foundation, Inc. supported and contributed in excess of $7,000 in "Back To School" support projects to our most vulnerable children. We give God all of the credit for such a successul year.

  • NAACP New York State Conference Youth & College Chapters - 2nd Quarterly Meeting, 5/10/14: donated school supplies & folders.

  • Friendship Baptist Church "Back 2 School Night", 7/17/14: donated 50 back packs and markerst.  The event was held at Friendship Baptist Church, 400 Campbell Avenue, Fayetteville, NY 28301.
  • Union Grove Baptist Church "Back-To-Shcool", 8/2/14: donated 120 plastic bages of school supplies, pens, markers and other items.
  • NAACP New York State Conference - 3rd Quarterly Meeting, 8/20/14: donated 18 back packs to 18 Youth & College Chapters represented at meeting. The event was held at Westchester Marriott Hotel, Tarrytown, NY.
  • West End Residences, 8/2014: donated 25 back packs with school supplies. Items were hand delivered to shelter for distribution. The items was distributed by Housing Development Fund Co., Inc., 483 West End Avenue, New York, NY.

  • 161st Street Merchants Association's Back To School & Health Jam, 8/23/14: distributed over 2,500 markers to young people, in conjuction with Affinity Health Plan.
  • The Highbridge Islamic Center, 9/9/14: donated 120 back packs with school supplies. These items was hand delivered for distribution by The Highbridge Islamic Center, 1529 Plimpton Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452.

  • NAACP Parkchester Branch's Back To School & Health Fair, 9/27/14: donated 60 back packs with school supplies.

  • NAACP New York State Conference Youth & College Chapter's Convention, 10/10/14: donated 100 compostion books, 100 badges with lables, and 100 writing pens.
